I usually use Penne or Spaghetti with this sauce but it works well with other pasta types too! The creamy Gorgonzola sauce is quite strong and fairly heavy but really yummy!

minutesI love this recipe because it’s very quick and easy to make but it’s delicious and very filling at the same time! Probably quite fattening too 🙂
Ingredients
200g Penne or Spaghetti
2 Tbsp Butter
250ml Cream (I use Soya Single cream)
150g Gorgonzola Dolce (the soft creamy one, not the picante one!)
Freshly ground Nutmeg
Sea salt
Freshly ground Black Pepper
Finely grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Put on a large pot of water to boil to cook the pasta.
- When the water is boiling, add at least a tablespoon of salt and then add the pasta.
- Put a frying pan on the heat and melt the butter. Add the cream and warm gently.
- Cut the Gorgonzola into fairly small pieces and add to the frying pan. Stir well until the Gorgonzola is completely melted and combined into the sauce.
- Taste the sauce and add salt to taste. Add some freshly ground black pepper and grate some fresh nutmeg in as well.
- As soon as the pasta is ready, drain it and toss it into the sauce on a low heat.
- Gently cook the pasta in the sauce for a minute or two, tossing it constantly to coat all the pasta.
- Serve with grated Parmesan and some freshly ground black pepper over the top.
